                   AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING SPRING
                   GARDEN LANE LOCATED NORTHWEST FROM TACOA
                   AVENUE, NORTHEAST OF OLD MISSION ROAD, MORE
                   PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby 
closed
         and abandoned Spring Garden Lane located northwest from Tacoa
         Avenue, northeast of Old Mission Road, more particularly 
described
         herein, and as shown on plat attached hereto and made a part
         hereof by reference:
               
                Spring Garden Lane, an unopened right-of-way some
                43 feet wide (per plat of Brainerd Park, as shown
                by plat of record in plat book 10, page 19, ROHC),
                or 60 feet wide (tax map), beginning on the
                northwest line of Tocoa Avenue 283 feet northeast
                of the intersection of the northwest line of Tocoa
                Avenue with the northeast line of Old Mission Road
                (formerly West Mission Boulevard), and extending
                some 182.17 feet between parallel lines to the
                northwest line (if extended northeastwardly) of lot
                8, block S, Resubdivision of Part of Brainerd Park,
                as shown by plat of record in plat book 14, page
                32, ROHC.  Said street separates said lot 8 from
                the Chattanooga Municipal Golf Course Tract, as
                shown by plat of record in deed book V, volume 19,
                page 621, ROHC.  Tax Map No. 157F-G-1 and 157K-E-7.

              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as 
provided
         by law.
